South Korean tobacco firm KT&G has officially inaugurated a new production plant in Pasuruan, East Java, marking a significant expansion of its international operations. This facility elevates the company's annual manufacturing capacity in Indonesia to 35 billion cigarettes, establishing the site as its primary overseas production hub. The addition of this plant finalizes the company's manufacturing network, which now spans five nations including South Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Turkey. This strategic move aligns with the firm's broader objective to decentralize its production processes. The opening ceremony was attended by KT&G CEO Bang Kyung-man and local government official Adhy Karyono, highlighting the collaborative effort to bolster the company's global supply chain capabilities.
