A high-level Pakistani delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Army Chief General Asim Munir, has arrived in Riyadh. The officials are scheduled to participate in a meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee, which operates under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement. This trilateral security framework, involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye, was formally established in August to bolster regional stability, improve military collaboration, and strengthen collective deterrence. The upcoming session in the Saudi capital will gather foreign ministers, defence ministers, and military leadership from the participating nations to discuss the implementation and objectives of this strategic partnership.
