The Philippine National Police (PNP) has disclosed that ninety-one firearms registered to Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa have not yet been surrendered. According to Major General Aden Lagradante, director of the PNP Civil Security Group, only twenty-six out of the 117 weapons identified have been turned over to authorities. The senator’s firearm licenses have been officially revoked, necessitating the surrender of the equipment. Representatives for Dela Rosa have stated they are currently locating the remaining items and have filed a request for reconsideration regarding the revocation. This situation is part of a broader PNP initiative addressing approximately 1.1 million expired firearm registrations and 300,000 revoked licenses across the country.
