According to PNP spokesperson Colonel Allen Rae Co, technical verification confirmed the image was captured three years ago, a fact corroborated by the original owner of the photo. The PNP continues to process various tips regarding the senator's current location, though they maintain operational secrecy regarding these investigations. Authorities have issued a warning against spreading misinformation, noting that those who intentionally provide false reports to police hotlines may face legal consequences. Dela Rosa is currently sought in connection with an International Criminal Court investigation into the previous administration's anti-drug campaign. The Department of the Interior and Local Government previously alleged the senator is being shielded by an armed group in Mindanao, while a 50-million-peso reward remains active for information leading to his apprehension.
