The Department of Transportation in the Philippines has initiated a program offering free transit services across specific Metro Manila corridors. This measure aims to assist commuters facing travel difficulties caused by the ongoing southwest monsoon, locally referred to as habagat. Government-coordinated vehicles have been dispatched to facilitate travel on key routes, including the Divisoria-Monumento, Kalentong-Pasig, and Lawton-PITX lines, operating in both directions. By deploying these additional transport resources, authorities intend to maintain public mobility despite the adverse weather conditions currently affecting the capital region.
