Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian recently asserted that the United States and Israel have shifted their strategy toward fostering domestic instability within Iran. According to the President, this change in tactics follows the failure of these nations to achieve their objectives through direct military engagement. During a meeting with municipal leaders, Pezeshkian argued that foreign powers are now prioritizing psychological and political warfare to undermine national unity. He urged local officials to prioritize public trust and inclusive governance to counter these destabilization efforts. The President emphasized that maintaining internal cohesion is essential for national security, particularly as the country faces ongoing economic and political pressures. These comments follow recent regional military escalations where Iran demonstrated its defensive capabilities, leading the leadership to conclude that adversaries are now seeking alternative methods to weaken the state from within.
