The exhibition titled “Your Ghosts Are Mine: Expanded Cinemas, Amplified Voices,” organized by Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, has debuted at the Centro Cultural La Moneda in Santiago, Chile. According to museum director Zeina Arida, this initiative represents the first time the collection has been displayed in Latin America, serving as a continuation of the Qatar-Argentina and Chile 2025 Year of Culture programs. Featuring contributions from over 40 filmmakers and artists, the showcase aims to facilitate a cross-cultural dialogue by presenting these works to a new audience. Arida noted that the exhibition allows for fresh interpretations of the themes addressed by the artists, as the pieces engage with the unique historical and social perspectives of the Chilean public. This international collaboration is intended to broaden the reach of Arab contemporary art and encourage meaningful artistic discourse across different regions.
