During the concluding session of the 13th Parliament, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stated that his administration refuses to use inherited national challenges as a justification for inaction. Addressing the ongoing gas and electricity shortages, the Prime Minister emphasized that the government is actively implementing a structured plan to restore stability and security for citizens. Reflecting on the state of the country upon taking office, Rahman highlighted widespread corruption and systemic irregularities across multiple sectors. He noted that his government is committed to resolving these deep-seated issues rather than relying on excuses regarding the difficult circumstances they faced at the start of their term. The parliamentary session, which commenced on August 27, also featured discussions on government-opposition relations and broader efforts to improve administrative transparency and public service delivery.
