The United States Embassy in Bangladesh has officially opened the application process for the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program, specifically for the 2027 spring semester. This initiative offers high school students a chance to reside in the United States, attend local schools, and immerse themselves in American culture while sharing their own traditions. Selection is based on a competitive, merit-driven process. Throughout the program, students reside with host families and participate in activities focused on leadership, business, and governance. Since its inception in 2004, the program has supported 530 Bangladeshi participants. Interested candidates must submit their applications via the official website, iearnbd.org, before the deadline on September 23, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. BST.
