Qatar is actively enhancing its recycling and resource recovery systems to transition toward a circular economic model. Recent data from the Ministry of Municipality reveals that over three million tonnes of recycled construction waste were utilized in public infrastructure projects by October 2025. This strategic shift aims to lower material costs, optimize resource management, and decrease reliance on raw natural resources. The government's latest awareness campaign underscores the expansion of the domestic recycling sector, which now includes 51 distinct projects. This total comprises 25 active facilities, 21 sites currently under development, and five additional plots designated for future recycling operations, reflecting the nation's commitment to sustainable industrial growth.
