Qatar University has officially released Masar, a digital platform aimed at streamlining travel for students and staff within its campus grounds. As the first institution in the country to implement such technology, the university utilizes artificial intelligence, sensors, and cameras to monitor traffic flow and parking capacity in real time. This tool assists the campus community in identifying optimal routes and avoiding congestion, while also offering updates regarding shuttle bus schedules. Given that the university manages a high volume of approximately 200,000 vehicles every week, this initiative is intended to enhance the overall experience for visitors and students alike. Dr. Mai Al Naemi, the Vice President of Administration and Financial Affairs, stated that the application demonstrates the institution's commitment to integrating technological advancements into daily university operations.
