Recent reports indicate a surge in coordinated attacks by armed settlers and Israeli military forces against Palestinian residents in the West Bank. In Jalud, a family was forced to evacuate their home after a mob set fire to their property despite having a court order for protection. Similar incidents of arson, physical assault, and property destruction have been documented in villages such as al-Mughayyir, Qaryut, and Qabatiya. UN data suggests that settler-led violence has reached its highest frequency in over twenty years, with hundreds of communities affected. Beyond residential attacks, there is an intensified focus on religious sites, including the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem, where access for Muslim worshippers has been restricted during state-sanctioned incursions. Observers suggest these actions are part of a broader strategy to render rural Palestinian life unsustainable and facilitate territorial annexation.
