To commemorate the first anniversary of Jane Goodall’s death, the UAE branch of her Roots & Shoots organization is scaling up youth-focused environmental projects. Dr. Goodall, who passed away in October 2025 at age 91, established the global leadership program 35 years ago in Tanzania to equip young individuals with the skills necessary to address ecological issues. The initiative currently operates in numerous countries, maintaining a local presence at the Terra pavilion within Expo City Dubai. By empowering the younger generation to act as advocates for sustainability, the program aims to preserve the conservationist's long-standing influence and dedication to wildlife protection. These expanded efforts seek to foster practical environmental action among students and young leaders throughout the nation, ensuring her vision for the planet continues to inspire future generations.
