Kabataan Party-list Representative Renee Co has called for Vice President Sara Duterte to provide testimony regarding the alleged mismanagement of confidential intelligence funds. During a recent statement, Co argued that the irregularities identified in the spending of these funds suggest a coordinated system that required oversight from the agency's leadership. The lawmaker highlighted several suspicious findings, including the use of fabricated names, the inclusion of an infant as a fund recipient, and irregular signatures on disbursement documents. Co emphasized that as the former Education secretary and current Vice President, Duterte holds ultimate accountability for the financial activities conducted under her administration. The prosecution maintains that the complexity of the alleged scheme indicates a deliberate effort to obscure the movement of public resources, necessitating a direct explanation from the Vice President before the impeachment court.
