The Saudi Ministry of Interior has revealed a new initiative to formalize the residency status of Yemeni citizens currently living in the Kingdom without proper documentation. This decision follows a formal request from Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, and aligns with directives issued by King Salman. Several government departments, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, are collaborating to implement this humanitarian measure. To qualify for this regularization process, applicants must possess a valid Yemeni passport. Further details regarding the implementation timeline and specific regulatory requirements will be disclosed by the General Directorate of Passports through their official communication channels in the near future.
