The Taiwan People's Party (TPP) has leveled accusations against Hsu Chia-ching, the head of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), alleging the improper use of government resources for personal benefit. TPP officials claim that Hsu utilized a significant portion of the council's travel budget for frequent trips abroad, some of which allegedly coincided with personal family visits in the United States. Furthermore, lawmakers raised concerns regarding the alleged use of diplomatic vehicles for personal transport and the inclusion of her son in an official delegation to Europe. The TPP has called for an immediate suspension and an ethics probe into these activities. In response, the OCAC issued a formal denial, asserting that all international travel and expenditures were strictly professional, compliant with legal standards, and subject to rigorous auditing processes. The agency maintains that no public funds were diverted for private purposes.
