Senator Francis Pangilinan recently indicated that Senator Loren Legarda might potentially rejoin the Senate majority bloc. During a radio interview, Pangilinan noted that Legarda was historically associated with a group of senators that currently forms part of the majority, including Vicente Sotto III, Panfilo Lacson, Risa Hontiveros, and Lito Lapid. Legarda had previously shifted to the minority faction led by Alan Peter Cayetano following shifts in the chamber's leadership structure. Speculation regarding her return surfaced after Senator Mark Villar recently transitioned to the majority group, which reduced the minority bloc's membership to ten. Pangilinan stated that the situation remains fluid and it is currently uncertain whether Legarda will choose to switch her political alignment back to the majority.
