Pledis Entertainment has confirmed that DK, a member of the K-pop group Seventeen, officially began his mandatory military service on September 8. The artist, whose legal name is Lee Seok-min, entered an army training facility for active duty and is scheduled to complete his service in March 2028. He is the sixth member of the 13-piece ensemble to fulfill this national obligation. To maintain privacy for fellow recruits, the singer chose to enlist without a formal public event. Prior to his departure, he hosted an online broadcast to connect with his supporters. During the emotional session, he showcased his short haircut and expressed his intention to return safely, while acknowledging the difficulty of being separated from his fanbase. Seventeen continues to maintain a significant presence in the music industry as its members rotate through their service requirements.
