Representatives from the Barceló Hotel Group recently met with Uzbek officials to explore potential investments in the nation's hospitality sector. The discussions focused on strategies to enhance tourism infrastructure, specifically through the introduction of high-end four and five-star properties. During the meeting, government officials outlined the current regulatory framework and support mechanisms designed to attract international hotel brands to the country. A key proposal involves the potential transfer of existing tourist facilities to the Spanish group for comprehensive renovation and management. By upgrading these sites to meet global standards, both parties aim to boost the country's appeal to international travelers and strengthen the local tourism industry through increased foreign direct investment.
