A 43-year-old Taiwanese man, identified by the surname Wu, has been taken into custody by local authorities on September 19. He is accused of murdering his 36-year-old Thai girlfriend after she initiated a breakup. Reports indicate the incident occurred on September 12 at a hotel located in Ximending. Following the alleged strangulation, the suspect reportedly placed the victim's body inside a suitcase and subsequently concealed it within a freezer at his workplace. When questioned by coworkers regarding the freezer, Wu claimed he was storing supplies for the Mid-Autumn festival. The couple had been in a relationship for over a year, frequently traveling between their respective countries to visit one another. The victim had reportedly expressed her intention to end the relationship earlier in August before traveling to Taiwan.
