A 49-year-old physical education instructor from Vijayanagara district died after falling from the third floor of the Bengaluru South Superintendent of Police's office complex. The individual had been taken into custody on Saturday following allegations of sexually assaulting students at a private school in Channapatna. According to law enforcement officials, the incident occurred on Sunday while the suspect was being processed for judicial custody. Security footage shows the man shoving a police officer before leaping over the building's railing. He was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries but subsequently succumbed to them. Authorities had previously filed charges against the teacher under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal fall.
