The Office of the Company Registrar in Nepal is currently facing significant operational delays due to a malfunction in its digital registration system. For several days, applicants have been unable to complete the registration process because the mandatory one-time password (OTP) required for identity verification is not being delivered to their mobile devices. According to information officer Nirman Kumar Karki, the issue stems from a server failure at the Department of Information Technology, which prevents the system from generating the necessary codes. This OTP is essential for both proposing company names and advancing the formal registration steps. Consequently, numerous service seekers have reported their inability to proceed with business filings, leaving many administrative tasks stalled until the technical infrastructure is restored by the relevant authorities.
