Opposition leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav recently met with a 12-year-old boy who claims he was physically attacked for recording a video of mustard-oil lamps lit during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday celebrations in Patna. The boy alleged that he was assaulted by individuals associated with the BJP and subsequently pressured by local police to alter his account of the incident. Yadav criticized the ruling party and the administration, accusing them of intimidation. Conversely, BJP spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel dismissed the allegations as fabricated and politically motivated, suggesting that the opposition leader is attempting to gain publicity. Local police officials have denied that any minor was detained or that a formal complaint regarding such an assault was filed at the Digha police station. The incident has sparked a verbal confrontation between the RJD and the BJP regarding the veracity of the claims.
