Between September 7 and 11, the Turkish Justice Academy and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency organized a human rights training program for a Romanian delegation. The group, consisting of members from Romania's Superior Council of Magistracy and judicial trainees, attended sessions focused on the European Convention on Human Rights, fair trial standards, freedom of expression, and privacy rights. The delegation also conducted visits to several high-level Turkish judicial institutions, including the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of Appeals. This educational initiative occurred despite reports indicating that Turkey accounts for approximately 40 percent of the total pending cases currently before the European Court of Human Rights.
