Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Işıkhan and his Italian counterpart, Marina Elvira Calderone, have signed a memorandum of understanding in Rome to bolster bilateral collaboration. The agreement focuses on sharing expertise regarding employment strategies, vocational training, and the sustainability of social security frameworks. Minister Işıkhan emphasized that this partnership aligns with the broader goal of increasing bilateral trade to $40 billion, noting that stronger economic ties are fostering new opportunities for workforce mobility. The two nations plan to establish a joint working group to facilitate the regular exchange of best practices and institutionalize cooperation between their respective ministries. This initiative aims to protect citizen rights while deepening the strategic alliance between the two NATO members, building upon the ongoing diplomatic dialogue between President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Meloni.
