The Thai Ministry of Culture has officially designated 12 additional motion pictures for inclusion in the 2026 National Film Heritage list. This latest update increases the total count of registered cinematic works to 275. The announcement was made by permanent secretary Prasop Riang-ngoen during a formal event hosted at the Thai Film Archive on October 4. Several prominent figures from the local entertainment industry were present at the ceremony, including actors Mum Jokmok, Woranuch Bhirombhakdi, and Naowarat Yuktanan, alongside filmmaker Kongdej Jaturanrasamee. This initiative, now in its 16th year, is managed by the Thai Film Archive to preserve significant cultural contributions to the nation's cinematic history.
