Cardiologists in the United Arab Emirates are cautioning residents in their thirties and forties that maintaining a regular exercise routine does not guarantee immunity from cardiovascular issues. According to medical professionals, individuals who appear physically fit and maintain a healthy weight may still harbor undiagnosed heart conditions. Experts emphasize that factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and elevated cholesterol often progress without noticeable symptoms. Furthermore, genetic predispositions, including familial hypercholesterolaemia and high lipoprotein levels, can significantly elevate health risks regardless of one's activity level. Doctors advise that physical fitness should not be conflated with the absence of heart disease. Consequently, they recommend that individuals prioritize comprehensive health screenings and understand their personal risk factors to ensure early detection and management of potential cardiac problems, rather than relying solely on an active lifestyle for protection.
