Uber intends to file for an official ride-hailing operator licence in Hong Kong before the conclusion of October. This move follows the local government's recent efforts to implement a new regulatory framework for the industry. Meanwhile, the company reported that Hong Kong residents represent the primary group of international users for its service in Macau. Uber resumed operations in the gaming hub earlier this year, marking a return after being absent from the market for nearly ten years. The company stated it is currently focused on ensuring full compliance with the upcoming local requirements to maintain its presence in the region.
