A recent United Nations report has brought to light the significant role of external forces in exacerbating the conflict in Sudan. The findings indicate that foreign recruitment and various support networks are actively fueling the war, thereby strengthening the military capacities of the opposing factions. This external involvement is also contributing to a worsening humanitarian toll on the civilian population. According to the UN's Independent International Fact-Finding Mission for Sudan, transnational networks have been instrumental in recruiting, training, and deploying foreign individuals to bolster the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Furthermore, these networks are facilitating the transfer of essential military resources, including weapons, ammunition, advanced technology, and logistical support, to the region.
