President De La Espriella emphasized his administration's decentralist approach by hosting the talks outside the capital. Furthermore, the leaders discussed a new bilateral agenda known as the Barranquilla Accords, which prioritizes economic recovery, national reconstruction, and regional security. Discussions regarding trade tariffs are ongoing, with both nations expressing a commitment to reaching a mutually beneficial agreement in the near future.
