The Competition Committee of Uzbekistan has issued a formal reminder regarding the legal prohibition of outdoor advertising on tangible cultural heritage properties. Under Article 26 of the national advertising law, installing promotional structures on these sites, their surrounding grounds, or within designated protected zones is strictly forbidden. The agency emphasized that these regulations aim to safeguard the historical and architectural integrity of national monuments. Currently, the committee is actively inspecting sites to ensure compliance and prevent any visual degradation caused by unauthorized signage. Authorities are also working on broader initiatives to digitize and promote these landmarks internationally. To support these enforcement efforts, the committee has invited the public to submit reports and photographic evidence of any observed violations to their official contact channels for further investigation.
