Hans Kluge, Belgium’s nominee for the position of World Health Organization Director-General, has highlighted the necessity of deeper collaboration between China and Europe regarding global health governance. Speaking during the Boao Forum for Asia Global Health Forum held in Haikou, Kluge emphasized that joint efforts are particularly vital in sectors such as primary healthcare, artificial intelligence, and the management of healthy aging. He noted that addressing aging populations requires a proactive approach centered on early-life interventions and preventative care. Furthermore, Kluge underscored the importance of integrating health and education initiatives while encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles, including consistent physical exercise. The forum, which took place from September 15 to 16, hosted participants from 32 different nations to discuss pressing international health concerns.
