A recent World Bank analysis suggests that the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, frequently referred to as the Middle Corridor, holds the potential to boost the collective GDP of participating nations by 3.3% by 2040. This development could result in the creation of approximately two million new jobs, provided that regional governments prioritize infrastructure upgrades and enhance cross-border cooperation. During the New Silk Way business forum held in Astana, World Bank representative Andrei Mikhnev emphasized that the route serves as a vital link for Central Asian states to access international markets. By leveraging their geographic position between Europe and Asia, these countries can diversify their economic bases, stimulate investment, and foster new commercial prospects. The findings highlight the corridor's role as a transformative tool for regional integration and long-term economic stability.
