Due to the Formula 1 event taking place at the Sepang International Circuit, the airline anticipates significant congestion and higher passenger numbers. To ensure a smooth travel experience, the carrier recommends that travelers arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to international departures and two hours before domestic flights. This buffer is intended to accommodate necessary check-in, security, and immigration processes. Furthermore, the airline strongly encourages all passengers, including those in groups, to utilize online self-check-in services via the AirAsia MOVE application or their official website. This digital option is accessible starting 14 days before the flight and remains available until one hour before the scheduled departure time.
