Bülent Arınç, a founding member of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), has issued a stern warning regarding a significant financial scandal currently affecting Turkey. With numerous investors unable to retrieve their savings, Arınç emphasized that the government risks electoral defeat unless it takes decisive action to hold those responsible accountable. Speaking during the opening of the legislative session, the former deputy prime minister urged the administration to fulfill its promises of transparency. Arınç further expressed concern that the involvement of individuals claiming religious affiliation in such misconduct is eroding public trust in both the political establishment and religious institutions. He argued that the core values championed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan are being undermined by these events, necessitating a swift and transparent response to maintain political stability and voter confidence.
