Law enforcement officials in Nepal's Surkhet district recently confiscated 18 muzzle-loading firearms discovered in wooded regions across two rural municipalities. Acting on intelligence, police teams conducted targeted searches in Chaukune and Barahatal. In Chaukune, officers recovered five weapons in Sanneghari and another 12 in the Dhamisen forest area. A third operation led by the Ranighat Police Post resulted in the seizure of one additional gun in Jamire, located within the Barahatal Rural Municipality. These coordinated efforts by local police units have successfully removed these unregistered weapons from the forest locations where they had been concealed.
