Officials in Thailand have mandated the clearance of approximately 20 tonnes of debris discovered at a data centre construction site in Ban Chang, Rayong. This action follows reports from local residents regarding potential health risks and environmental disturbances caused by the waste. Following directives from the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Suchart Chomklin, a specialized task force from the Pollution Control Department conducted an inspection on September 8. Investigators identified various construction materials, including cement, stone, broken bricks, fiberglass, and plastic, scattered across an area spanning one to two rai. The department is now overseeing the removal process to address the community's concerns and mitigate further environmental impact at the site.
