The Bangladeshi government has announced that public sector workers will be paid approximately three months of salary arrears in a single installment. This payment follows the implementation of a revised salary structure. The Ministry of Finance’s Finance Division has mandated that the administrative process for these payments must be finalized by October 20. To facilitate this, employees are required to use the iBAS++ portal to input their professional and personal data, such as national ID numbers, service history, and current grade levels. The specific amount each individual receives will be determined by the new pay fixation calculations. Officials are expected to begin the data entry process on Monday, ensuring that all information is verified against previous records to accurately reflect their updated compensation status under the new framework.
