Negotiations between the Pakistani government and the opposition party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), concluded without a resolution regarding the party's upcoming long march. Despite multiple rounds of discussions facilitated by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, both factions were unable to bridge their differences. The government insisted that the PTI should call off its planned protest to de-escalate the current political tension. Conversely, the opposition demanded that authorities grant them access to meet with their imprisoned founder before considering any concessions. As a result of these conflicting requirements, the dialogue ended in a stalemate, leaving the status of the planned demonstration uncertain. Representatives from both sides confirmed that no common ground was established during the weekend meetings.
