A Hong Kong Airlines aircraft heading to Okinawa was forced to return to Hong Kong International Airport on Sunday morning shortly after departure. The pilot of flight HX676 opted to turn back at approximately 8:57 a.m. following reports that the landing gear failed to retract completely after the plane became airborne. According to an official statement from the carrier, the decision was made as a precautionary measure to prioritize passenger and crew safety in accordance with established aviation protocols. The jet successfully touched down at the airport at 10:00 a.m. without incident. Airline representatives confirmed that all individuals on board remained safe and no injuries were sustained during the unscheduled return.
