Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced plans to gradually restore withdrawal services after successfully recovering 95 percent of the $6.3 billion in assets lost during a significant security breach. The initial phase of the restoration process is set to commence on Sunday between 6am and 9am GMT, encompassing major digital currencies such as Bitcoin, ether, BNB, Solana, XRP, and dogecoin. The exchange noted that the remaining 5 percent of the stolen funds involve assets with lower liquidity, which will require additional time to procure. Following the incident, the platform implemented enhanced security protocols and conducted comprehensive system evaluations to ensure the safety of its services. Binance intends to continue the phased reactivation of its withdrawal functions as security verifications are completed.
