The Philippine Bureau of Immigration has launched an investigation following the discovery of a fraudulent departure stamp on a passenger's passport at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. Immigration officers intercepted a 28-year-old man attempting to board a flight to Malaysia after noticing irregularities in his travel documents. Although the individual initially claimed to have cleared standard departure procedures as a tourist, he later admitted that an airport contact had handled his passport and boarding pass to apply the fake stamp. Authorities suspect this incident is linked to a broader human trafficking operation aimed at Filipinos seeking employment overseas. The bureau is currently reviewing the circumstances of the case to identify the individuals responsible for facilitating this illegal activity within the airport premises.
