Chinese and South Korean officials have reported constructive developments during the 16th round of negotiations regarding the second phase of their bilateral Free Trade Agreement. The discussions, which took place in Beijing from August 31 to September 4, focused on market access through negative lists and the regulation of cross-border services trade. According to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, both nations have committed to expediting the remaining aspects of the talks to reach a conclusion promptly. The objective of these efforts is to enhance openness in investment and services, thereby fostering a more stable and robust economic partnership between the two countries.
