Acting US Navy Secretary Hung Cao recently conducted an inspection of the Hanwha Philly Shipyard located in Philadelphia. This site visit aligns with a significant $150 billion collaborative shipbuilding project between South Korea and the United States. The initiative, referred to as Make American Shipbuilding Great Again (MASGA), represents a key component of the strategic investment partnership established between the two nations. Hanwha Ocean is anticipated to play a central role in this industrial cooperation. During his visit, Cao held discussions with company leadership and examined the facility's current operations to better understand the potential for future joint maritime manufacturing efforts.
