A 33-year-old construction worker named Wasanan lost his life in a tragic accident on October 8 at a hospital building site in Bangkok's Lak Si district. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. while the victim was performing a routine inspection of a crane and its sling system on the rooftop. Preliminary investigations suggest that the man slipped into the operating zone of the machinery. The crane's cable subsequently entangled his body, exerting sufficient force to cause fatal injuries, including severing him at the waist. Although the crane operator witnessed the event and halted the equipment immediately to provide assistance, the victim had already sustained lethal trauma. Authorities are currently reviewing the circumstances surrounding the workplace fatality.
