During the 37th day of the impeachment proceedings, forensic analyst Alexander Cabrera presented findings regarding 96 million pesos in transactions associated with a joint bank account held by Vice President Sara Duterte and former President Rodrigo Duterte. Cabrera characterized the activity as a form of check kiting, noting that manager's checks totaling 41 million and 55 million pesos were issued but left unredeemed until they expired. This process allowed the funds to cycle back into the accounts without appearing on annual financial statements. The expert likened the movement of these assets to the traditional tinikling dance, emphasizing that the capital was consistently absent from year-end balances despite the frequent transfers in and out of the accounts.
