The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced that thirteen cities across the capital region have halted face-to-face instruction this Wednesday. This decision follows persistent rainfall caused by the southwest monsoon. Educational institutions in Caloocan, Quezon City, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, San Juan, Navotas, Pasay, and Marikina have transitioned to alternative learning delivery methods for all grade levels. Muntinlupa also suspended physical classes but did not specify a shift to alternative modes. Meanwhile, Valenzuela opted to cancel morning sessions, while Las Piñas and Parañaque implemented suspensions for afternoon classes. In Las Piñas, schools were instructed to utilize alternative delivery systems to ensure continuity of education despite the inclement weather conditions affecting the region.
