CPN-UML Member of Parliament Sajida Khatun Siddiki has publicly challenged the government's commitment to good governance during a recent House of Representatives session. She argued that the administration's rhetoric is contradicted by its actions, specifically citing the opaque and delayed appointment processes within state institutions. Siddiki highlighted the Nepal Pharmacy Council as a primary example, noting that results remain withheld three weeks after interviews concluded, allegedly to favor specific individuals. Furthermore, she condemned the frequent reliance on acting officials and the manipulation of recruitment procedures, labeling these practices as deceptive. According to the lawmaker, such administrative conduct undermines the bureaucracy and renders the government's official promises of transparency and efficiency entirely hollow.
