Authorities in Delhi have suspended entry and exit operations at eleven metro stations on Friday morning in anticipation of a demonstration. The protest, organized by the All India Students’ Association, is scheduled to take place at Jantar Mantar to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over claims of electoral irregularities. Affected locations include major hubs such as Rajiv Chowk, New Delhi, and Lok Kalyan Marg, which is situated near the prime minister's official residence. While public access to these stations is restricted, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation confirmed that interchange services will continue to function at key transit points like Mandi House and Central Secretariat. The demonstration is intended to pressure officials regarding the integrity of the election process.
