The Department of Foreign Employment in Kathmandu has issued a formal advisory to migrant workers currently visiting Nepal on leave. Officials are strongly recommending that these individuals secure their necessary labour permits prior to finalizing their return travel arrangements. This measure is intended to prevent potential flight cancellations caused by incomplete documentation. The department emphasizes that possessing a confirmed airline ticket does not exempt workers from the requirement of a valid re-entry permit. To ensure a smooth departure, workers who have already booked their flights are instructed to submit their online applications, accompanied by all mandatory supporting documents, no later than three days before their intended travel date. This proactive approach is designed to mitigate administrative delays and ensure that workers can return to their employment abroad without unnecessary complications or missed travel schedules.
